Pennsylvania Fly Fishing

Pennsylvania is one of the very best states to plan a fly fishing adventure with arguably more variety of fly fishing opportunities than any other state. Steelhead Fishing

Come chase the ultimate freshwater game fish! Steelhead are some of most powerful and acrobatic fish in fresh water and Lake Erie’s steelhead fishery is second to none amongst the Great Lakes steelhead fisheries. Often referred to as “Steelhead Alley” Lake Erie has an endless amount of tributaries from large floatable rivers to creeks that you can jump across that all get strong runs of steelhead. We guide on these rivers in both Ohio and Pennsylvania. These rivers make for an amazing first time steelheading experience because of our strong population of fish you will be certain to have an encounter.

Sam offers guided trips seasonally or upon request on the famous Erie Tributaries like the Grand River, Conneaut Creek, Elk Creek, and many more.

Musky on the Fly

Musky are the apex predators of freshwater. These fish are a challenging adversary for even the most seasoned fly rod angler. Dubbed as “the fish of 10,000” casts, musky are notoriously difficult to catch on the fly. When targeting these fish you must have good casting mechanics and a lot of stamina. We target these fish with 10-12 wt fly rods using a variety of tactics that involve large heavy flies. When the hard work pays off and one of these large predators hit the net I can assure you won’t be complaining about your “sore casting shoulder”!

Sam offers guided Musky trips seasonally or upon request on the Allegheny River and Ohio River tributary systems in November and December.

Smallmouth Bass Fly Fishing Trips

Smallmouth Bass
Fishing

Smallmouth are one of the most popular game fish there is, and for good reason! These fish are very aggressive predators and can be suckers for a well presented streamer for top water popper fly. Late spring-early fall is an excellent time to target these awesome gamefish. PA has some of the best bass water in the country with many scenic and unpressured rivers to chose from.

Sam offers guided fly fishing trips for smallmouth bass seasonally or upon request on the Allegheny River and Ohio river tributary systems in July and August.  Book your fly fishing trip with Sam Presutti now to experience this.
